Liability for Damage:

During the rental period, the Hirer is responsible for any damage or loss of the motorcycle, regardless of the degree of negligence or carelessness. This includes damage caused by accidents, improper use, operational damage, or any damage that exceeds normal wear and reduces the value of the motorcycle. The Hirer is liable for the costs of repair, invoicing, and return, as well as any expert appraisal fees. The Hirer is also responsible for the reduction in technical and market value, up to the amount of the chosen damage deductible option. The burden of proof for lesser damage lies with the Hirer.

Tire Damage:

The Hirer is solely responsible for any tire damage (flat tires) that occurs during the rental period. The cost of replacing the damaged tire will be borne by the Hirer. The value of the tire will be calculated based on the remaining profile. For example, if the replacement cost is €150 and the old tire had 50% profile remaining, the Hirer will be charged 50% of the cost, which amounts to €75.

Off-Road and Improper Use:

The Hirer is fully liable for any damage caused by riding off-road, on racetracks, or beaches. The same applies to damage resulting from improper use, including obvious disproportionate wear (tire/clutch) due to activities like "burnouts." In such cases, the Hirer is responsible for the full amount of the damage, and the deductible of the comprehensive insurance does not apply.

Loss of Accessories:

The Hirer is fully liable for any damage or loss of rented accessories, such as GoPro cameras, helmets, motorcycle clothing, and keys. Please bear in loss of keys could be quite expensive, you could be charged something between €100 - €300 depending on model.

Incapability to Drive:

If the motorcycle becomes incapable of driving or cannot be used due to damage caused by the Hirer or actions of the Hirer, there is no entitlement to a replacement motorcycle for the remainder of the rental period. Additionally, there is no entitlement to a refund of the rental price in such cases.

Accidents or Damage:

In the event of any damage, loss, or accident, the Hirer must immediately notify the Renter by telephone. Towing and repair services should only be contacted after obtaining consent from Canary Ride. In case of an accident, the police must be notified immediately. The Hirer must secure evidence, record the personal data of those involved, and take all necessary actions to clarify the sequence of events. The Hirer must not admit guilt or take any actions (payments, settlements) that could jeopardize the insurance coverage.
